Rocket Ron’s handy tip for September is all about preparing your property for Winter! As we approach the colder months there are a number of measures that you can take to help ensure that your property is winter ready.

Autumn is an ideal time to carry out an annual check of the roof. Ron advises checking your roof for any tiles that may have broken or slipped. It is also an opportune moment to check for any blockages in your guttering. If you have trees surrounding your property then check to ensure that any loose branches haven’t fallen onto the roof as this could cause long term damage.

Your preparations for winter should also include trimming back any trees and bushes. This can help to prevent loose leaves from blocking gutters and drains.

Ron’s final tip for September is to bleed your radiators to remove any air bubbles that may be trapped in the system. Bleeding your radiators can make your heating system more efficient and help to keep your boiler in peak condition.
